This interview with Franck Noel is a very special and information-rich event! Franck talks about his beginnings, his stay in Japan and especially what he thinks about Aikido and its teaching. Fluent narration, a lifetime of experience and also gentle jokes.
“Aikido is not what you think” is a very nice video from our friends at Dojo de la Roseraie. In it you will see among others Franck Noel and Gaston Nicolessi, with whom we train regularly in Prague and France.
Zdenko Reguli’s seminar in Prague in December was well attended after three long years. Besides us from Vinohrady, aikidists from more than 10 other clubs (even from abroad) came to practice.
In the shade of the lush green trees at the centuries-old Vyšehrad Castle, looking down on the metropolis, the fifteenth annual Japanese celebration of spring, symbolically called “Bodaiju matsuri” or “Festival of Lime Trees”, took place. And we were there with our martial arts demonstrations and workshop.
Gaston Nicolessi (6th dan) attracts many young aikidists with his dynamic practice and very open approach, making his seminars very lively and friendly.
Swedish teacher Jan Nevelius (7th dan) has been visiting us regularly for many years and brings us inspiration in the form of stable and dynamic aikido.
7 days and 6 hours of training a day. Training with and without weapons, indoors and outdoors, during day and during night, in keiko-gi and tracksuit. And with food, games, massages, sleep, additional training and exams in between. See the video!
During the lockdowns, we practiced online and could have only dream about organizing our regular international seminars. We also had to cancel the annual seminar with Jan Nevelius, scheduled for March. So at least we organized an online training with him. And it was a truly international event – more than fifty aikidas from all over the world joined our Zoom. Here we offer an hour-long video recording.
More inspiration for parents and children during quarantine: today we will look at small children’s feet through throwing, catching, and jumping. In each video you will find a few words about the purpose of each exercise and its contribution to children’s healthy development. Enjoy!
Both children and adults need movement during the quarantine – movement strengthens your immune system and creates shared experiences. So dear parents, if you work from home and have children between 5-8 years old- we offer you inspiration for playful fun. These videos can help you unwind after a long week of work and homeschooling.
We made a video. About Aikido and about us. In our video, there are people who practice together. It contains movement, joy, touch, concentration, communication, humanity, playfulness and depth.
