Our annual end-of-year seminar was great, thanks to Zdeněk Regulim for the inspiration and good exercises! There was also a big kyū grading exam, you can find the list of successful candidates in the article 🙂
Laughter and concentration, clear stances and quick movements, mutual contact… on Saturday, we hosted the fifth international seminar for children and youth, Aiki4Kids! Around 150 children and young people (aged 5 to 21) practiced on the tatami, assisted by about 25 adult teachers.

Our summer camp for young people aged 15-21 was exceptional this year: in addition to Martin and Pavel, three teachers who were still practicing in the youth group a few years ago also taught.
In order for the organization’s examiners to test well (and consistently) for kyu and dan grades, they need to know what and how to test. That is why the Czech Aikido Federation organizes training for examiners.
We have completed another week of summer school for adults in Třešť – the sixteenth year brought some interesting new features.

We started the summer in our club with a visit of friends and colleagues from Berlin. We attended a seminar focused on the education of teachers of children, organized by the German Aikido Club Kikentai Berlin.
Aikido Summer jsou čtyři dny aikida s osmi učiteli v Berlíně. A také je to spousta přátel, kultury a dobrého jídla. Berlín je prostě šik.
A protože tuto akci částečně organizujeme, jeli jsme tam ve velké skupině.
How do you coordinate a team of ten teachers and ten assistants in one club? Three times a year, we all meet up, exercise, and then talk about what’s going on in our groups. And why do they look so serious in that photo? I don’t know, ask them… 🙂
The Czech Aikido Federation once again organized a coach training course at our club, resulting in the addition of several new young 3rd class coaches.
One Friday in February we got on the Flixbus and went to Berlin for a seminar for teachers of children and teenagers, organized by our friends from Kikentai Berlin.
