Hana­mi is a Japa­ne­se spring fes­ti­val asso­ci­a­ted with saku­ra blos­soms – tra­di­ti­o­nally asso­ci­a­ted with the search for pea­ce and tra­nqui­li­ty. It has been cele­bra­ted in Pra­gu­e’s Dej­vi­ce for twen­ty-three years under the auspi­ces of the The Uni­ver­si­ty of Che­mis­t­ry and Tech­no­lo­gy, Pra­gue. This year we par­ti­ci­pa­ted in this fes­ti­val for the first time with an aiki­do demonstration.

The venue is a uni­ver­si­ty cam­pus, the visi­tors are main­ly stu­dents – so our demon­strati­on was main­ly per­for­med by mem­bers of the you­th secti­on, who then sta­yed at the fes­ti­val to have fun until late in the evening.
