Teachers of children and youths in the German countryside

We started the summer in our club with a visit of friends and colleagues from Berlin. We attended a seminar focused on the education of teachers of children, organized by the German Aikido Club Kikentai Berlin.

Our visit had several layers. First of all, it broadened our teaching skills – for example, we took away a lot of creative ideas for new movement exercises for children and adults, we reflected on the importance of the individual for the functioning of the whole group and on ways to make training as accessible as possible for everyone.

And we also taught a module on developing contact for different age groups, as we do in our club. Running the module was a joint effort between Martin, Vanda and Anka.

In addition to new knowledge, we also networked with other Aikidokas, inspiring on a personal and professional level.

We spent time with these great people in the beautiful surroundings of the German countryside, where foxes literally give good night! So our educational trip included a swim in a nearby lake and a meal together in a garden shelter.

We enjoyed our visit very much, and as Kikentai Berlin organises seminars for teachers on a regular basis, we are already looking forward to seeing you again!
