Three weeks in the land of the rising sun

Although we had been to Japan a few times before, this trip was truly exceptional – in terms of the number of participants, our aikido training, and everything we experienced.
We spent the first week in Tokyo, practicing at Hombu Dojo, attending official and friendly meetings with Japanese teachers and friends… There were nine of us from Aikido Praha Vinohrady and twelve other people from other clubs of the Czech Aikido Federation, so we attracted quite a lot of attention from the locals during our training sessions.
Then we split into different groups and traveled around Japan. Some of us were interested in sightseeing, some went on family trips, others went on road trips through national parks or hiking trips along pilgrimage routes. It was a wonderful time in a beautiful country with great people and good food. Thank you, Japan!
