ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Gaston NICOLESSI, currently ranked 6th dan, holds a state, sports-education diploma (DEJEPS) and is an active member of the National & Regional Colleges of Experts of the FFAAA (French Federation of Aikido, Aikibudo and Affiliates).
Gaston started with aikido when he was 11 years-old in 1983 in Madagascar. He has practised under the direction of Franck Noël since 1992.
He began teaching in Toulouse in 1996, and has, since 2008, led numerous seminars in France and abroad (Spain, Lebanon, Finland, Czech Republic…).
In 2002, Gaston found his own dojo in Cugnaux near Toulouse and teaches a few regular classes at Franck NOEL’s dojo in Toulouse (La Roseraie).
In 2015, Franck NOEL assigns him to be one of the two teachers responsible for the first week of the Oleron summer school.
In 2018, Franck NOEL entrusts the continuation of La Roseraie (the very dojo he founded in 1988) to Gaston NICOLESSI. Gaston has been acting as the Dojo-Chô of La Roseraie since then.
